Krytox Grease is used in many lab applications for greasing joints/connections. Krytox provides excellent performance in temperatures ranging from -75 °C (-103 °F) up to 399 °C (750 °F). One of the key advantages of Krytox Grease is that it is non-flammable and chemically inert. It is also chemically insoluble in just about all solvents.
The kit allows the user to attach an extra condenser on top of the distillation head. This pathway is held under vacuum during the first phase of the run, allowing the lower boiling point compounds to rise into the auxiliary condenser and condense in a different area of the system.
The condensation of the lower boiling point compounds in a separate portion of the system allows for a cleaner runway or pathway for your main fractions.
This increases potency, as the user will no longer have traces of the earlier, lower boiling point compounds stuck on the same pathway as the main fractions. This product is a unique addition to Lab Societys line up, and weve spent a long time getting it just right.

All versions of the multi distribution adapter come with a gauge port, which allows you to measure vacuum depth via a vacuum monitor.
When compared to our single distribution adapter, the key benefit of the multi distribution adapter is that you no longer have to interrupt your runs multiple times to achieve the same result.
Our original Multi Distribution Adapters are made of high-quality borosilicate glass, and they come with varying joint outlets (up to three, 24/40 joints).
All our distribution adapters have threaded glass, perfectly suited to vacuum hose connections for maximum simplicity.
The V1 multi distribution adapter is meant for use with the V1 or V2 short path distillation head and both multi adapters versions (V1 & V2) have GL-14 connections. The V2 head, on the other hand, was designed for use with the V2 distribution adapter as well as our packable distillation head the (PDH-1).
The PDH-2 and 2S require the use of the 29/26 joint multi distribution adapter. The bigger joint enables an increased flow rate and an increased surface area from the condenser. The greater condensation of vapors translates to quicker results and more efficiency.
Our multi distribution adapter can also be used on the earlier V1 model heads.*
*Note: The 29/26 three way adapter will not fit V1 and V2 distillation heads of any kind, due to the difference in joint sizes. The 29/26, three-way distribution adapter will only fit with our detachable condenser.”

A Separatory Funnel is useful for separating liquids of two different densities. Our American-made funnel comes with a 2mm PTFE stopcock and a 24/40 top joint.
These handy devices are a key component in scientific glassware and in performing liquid-liquid extractions.
A separatory funnel is typically used to separate liquids from other liquids or liquids from brine solutions by washing. They have many different names, such as: separation funnel, separating funnel, or even just a sep. funnel informally.
The single distribution adapter has a side port GL-18, so you can easily hook up a vacuum gauge and measure vacuum depth.
This glass adapter has a 24/40 joint, and it channels your distillate down into your collection flask. Be advised that the collection flask will need to be changed for each different fraction you are trying to separate.
If you are trying to separate many different fractions, we recommend that you try our Multi Distribution Adapter the perfect solution to this common problem. This single side arm adapter has a vacuum port with GL-18 fittings. The V1 has a bend of 75 degrees, while the V2 has a bend of 65 degrees. The difference in the bend angle correlates to a faster flow rate, if needed.
If you already have a multi distribution adapter, you can actually use these two products together. For example, if you have more than three fractions that need to be collected or separated, you can simply switch out the two pieces, allowing you to capture an extra fraction. This process can be repeated for as many different fractions as you need to catch.

These custom Lab Society Fixed Thermocouple Adapters help reduce the build up of condensation wherever they are employed. The fixed portion of this adapter gives the thermocouple probe much needed additional support. This increased support reduces the chance of breakage, while decreasing drip-back caused by condensation.

After listening to our customers, we’re pleased to announce our new Separatory Funnel, now in a much larger, 6,000mL size! This new product has all of the same benefits of our earlier separatory funnels, with more customizability than ever.
There are many situations in which having pre-drilled holes can be useful. For example, let’s say you need to hold a thermometer precisely in the center of your container while still maintaining an air-tight seal. Having a pre-drilled hole in the center will ensure proper, consistent alignment. Buchner Funnels (for filtering) can also benefit from this type of stopper. If the holes are too small, they can easily be drilled bigger, allowing them to fit your own, custom applications.
Not sure if you need holes in your stopper? No worries! You can always just use a cork borer to drill new ones at any time to suit your specific needs. Rubber stoppers are the most commonly used stoppers in lab applications, and they are highly recommended for every lab to have.
Be advised that improperly done holes can also cause liquid chemical leaks from your containers if you’re not careful, so make sure that all your fittings – including the rubber bung itself – are snug within the container.
Always use the right size rubber stopper for your application – when in doubt, don’t try to force it!
